Forms
How forms are scored
Judges score on Knowledge, Control and Enthusiasm. The center judge sets the point range for the division before it begins.
A competitor who restarts their form loses one full point.
Weapons Forms
Same scoring, one addition
Scored the same as open-hand forms. Dropping the weapon costs one point.
Sparring
Format
Single elimination. A match ends at two minutes or when one competitor leads by five points, whichever comes first.
Points
- 1 point — hand techniques
- 2 points — kicks
Contact and warnings
Head contact and repeated warnings escalate, and can end in disqualification. Control is part of the score, not separate from it.
